Terms of use

By using EchoCompass you agree to these terms.

  1. Ownership. EchoCompass, including its software code, decision rules as written and organised here, text, teaching cards, practice cases, figures, design and the EchoCompass name, is the property of the Critical Care Echocardiography Group and is protected by copyright and intellectual property law.
  2. What you may do. Use the site free of charge for your own learning and clinical education, and show it in teaching sessions, provided EchoCompass is credited and linked (echocompass.org).
  3. What you may not do without written permission. Copy, download for redistribution, reproduce or republish the code, content or figures; build a derivative or competing tool from them; scrape or extract the content by automated means; remove these notices; use the EchoCompass name or a confusingly similar name; or use any part of the site for commercial purposes.
  4. Educational use only. EchoCompass is not medical advice and is not a medical device. It does not replace clinical judgment, a complete echo study or local protocols, and the treating physician remains responsible for every decision.
  5. No warranty. The site is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, error-free or always available.
  6. Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, the Critical Care Echocardiography Group is not liable for any loss or harm arising from use of, or reliance on, the site.
  7. Privacy. Nothing you enter leaves your browser. Do not enter patient identifiers.
  8. Changes. These terms may be updated at any time; continued use means you accept the current version.
  9. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
